Structured as a musical mirror, Solo Palindrome explores the versatility of the unaccompanied double bass through a carefully balanced architectural arch. Framed by the explosive modernity of Teppo Hauta-aho’s Kadenza and Emil Tabakov’s Motivy, and softened by the lyricism of Lloyd Goldstein and François Rabbath, the programme pivots around J.S. Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1. The result is a seamless journey across three centuries of sound, moving from contemporary edge to Baroque purity and back again.
